Restaurants & Dining in Colombo

The only place you’ll find more authentic Sri Lankan food in Colombo is in a local’s home. Fresh and fun are apt descriptors for this sprawling restaurant which has several ‘street stalls’ offering a symphony of traditional dishes (string hoppers, hoppers, pittu and kottu rotti etc.) as well as a live band giving it their all from a boat-shaped stage. Given that it is in the Hilton Hotel it’s no surprise that the crowd is mostly international but locals also visit to celebrate occasions, a testament to the quality of the cooking. The curry buffet and live seafood counter are always highlights.
